We started this firm with one goal in mind – to help clients make confident, informed decisions around tax and finance. With over 8 years in public practice & 18+ years in accounting experience, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses grow, adapt and thrive.
If you were wondering… “Avoda” is a Hebrew word that means both work and worship – a reminder that the work we do should matter. For us, accounting isn’t just about numbers. It’s about service, stewardship and helping people build something meaningful.

Bachelor Business (Accounting) CPA qualified Accountant with over 18 years experience in Accounting, Tax, Audit and SMSF’s (ASIC Registered SMSF Auditor).
“My passion is to build solid relationships with small and medium business’ and to help them understand their financial reports. This will ultimately give them a better understanding of the performance and financial health of their business, thus enabling them to realise the true potential of their business. I can help with any stage of the business cycle from setup and structuring, software setup, advice on growth including budgets/forecasting, tax minimisation, and preparing for retirement.”
“I’ve been a Sunny Coast local my whole life, I love seeing local business grow and succeed and will support local whenever I can. I’m a huge basketball fan and play socially once a week. I also enjoy a round of golf, especially if it gets me out of the office to network with like-minded business people and potential clients. In my downtime I like hanging out with my family and take in every moment I can while my boys are still little”.

Bachelor Business (Accounting) CPA qualified Accountant with over 17 years experience in Accounting, Tax, Business Services, Management/Cashflow and SMSF’s, including 3 years as a CFO for a large Sunshine Coast based business.
“My experience includes structuring, payroll tax, large family groups and I have helped many small to large businesses overcome unique issues faced by each of them. My favourite part of accounting is management & cashlow reporting. This is largely due to the clarity this can provide in decision making and business strategy. I aspire to help all clients achieve their financial goals and to be as efficient and profitable as possible.”
“I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast my whole life and enjoy spending time with friends, family and playing sport whenever I get the chance. I’m a huge motorsport fan and have been known to set a 2am alarm just to catch a race. I also love a good board game night and get just a little competitive (okay… maybe more than a little). It’s all in good fun though… mostly.”

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) with an extensive background in office administration/accounts and customer service.
Justina initially started with us as our Admin/Bookkeeper but after gaining confidence in our accounting firm is very excited to be working as an accountant and is proud to tell everyone about her new job title.
“I enjoy getting stuck into tricky bank or wage reconciliations, it’s a bit like being a detective, piecing things together until everything makes sense. I’ve really valued the chance to help clients use Xero more effectively and I’m always keen to share practical ideas to help them move forward, especially when it comes to saving tax. Learning how to prepare financials and returns for companies and trusts has been a great challenge, and I genuinely enjoy the fact that no two days are the same, there’s always something new to learn.”
“I’m a proud mum to four active kids, so when I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me running from one sports field to another, juggling schedules and playing personal taxi driver. Life is full and busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love creating a bit of magic at home too, from fully decorated rooms to Santa footprints and surprise gifts that light up little faces. I’m all about going the extra mile to make moments feel special (and I’ll happily admit I love receiving a thoughtful gift just as much as giving one!).”

Diploma of Accounting with 5 years experience in recording keeping and over 10 years experience in management at a local school.

“I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast my whole life. I have a beautiful wife who’s a school teacher and a 10 year old son who just took his first step into financial literacy with his very first investment! I’m a big believer in generosity, whether it’s through a thoughtful gift or simply showing up when it counts. Sunday afternoons you’ll usually find me at the beach with family, eating way too much food and soaking up the sunshine. I also love getting outdoors whenever I can – bushwalks, mountain climbs, anything with a good view at the top. And when I’m not outside, I’m probably deep into a video game, secretly trying to make it big on YouTube.”

Office Administrator/Marketing Manager
Bachelor Arts (Computer-based Art & Design) Cert III Information Technology Systems with over 10 years experience in administration, graphic/web design & social media marketing including 5 years experience using xero & payroll for a medium organisation on the Sunshine Coast.
“I am a creative at heart, I will jump at the chance to help clients with any creative/marketing type questions. Prior to working full time with Avoda, I worked in admin, marketing & graphic design for 7 years, this helped me to develop my web & graphic design skills further and also master xero. I have also recently launched an Amazon/eCommerce business, I love helping & encouraging clients to start their eCommerce journey and answer any questions they might have.”
“I’m passionate about keeping fit and healthy, you’ll often find me at the local gym and on rest days I’m usually at the park with my two energetic boys or out walking our dog Nala (who’s just as high energy as the kids!). Life’s a busy mix of mum duties, working at Avoda and running my own e-commerce business – and while I do love the challenge, I definitely wouldn’t say no to a cruise and a cocktail at some point soon! On the days the kids are in care, I make the most of the quiet time to catch up on housework, appointments and business life (aka the ‘rest’ part of the week). It’s a full schedule, but I’ve learned to roll with the chaos and find joy in the little wins.”

Our SEO/Marketing for Avoda was led by Fuzail Anwar, an SEO expert who helped improve organic visibility and local rankings. To date he has achieved strong results by increasing our organic Google ranking from page 6 to page 1.
